If this is your first time back in a while you may have noticed a few changes. I have been playing with the idea of changing the name of my blog for a long time now, because I felt that I sort of out-grew the old name a bit, and wanted something that more closely represents what this blog is about for me. Unfortunately, it is not possible to change the url, I don't think, but the actual name could change- so that's exactly what I did.
Boundless and Infinite just sort of summed up a feeling of hope, excitement and freedom, which is exactly what I want this blog to represent: a place where I can express excitement for cool things I'm doing, relish in plans of adventures to come and reflect on anything really that is something important to me, or I am passionate about, or simply just makes me happy, and may make you guys happy to. I think the title Boundless and Infinite just gives off a feeling of youth, positivity and hope that I really liked.
I actually came up with the title after reading a really stunning quote I found that just very adequately sums up exactly how I hope to lead my life:
Today marks the second year that I've had this little
blog of mine going! I can't actually believe that, two years is a bloody long time!
I firstly want to start by saying that I'm sorry that I haven't been able to post at all really recently! I keep wanting to, and have such a list of things I want to write about but I just have so much work at the moment and such long days, that literally whenever I have a bit of free time, I can't help but fall asleep hahah
But I really do promise I will try to be better with it :) And I'm hoping to post my jan/feb favourites soon, cause there are so many things I've been loving that I want to share with you guys!
Okay so back to the blogaversary, I love this little space so much and my blog is a space where I really can write what I want and be who I am. I started this blog as a light-hearted sort of documentation, I guess, of things that interested me, or important things in my life. Gradually it's also become a bit of a lifestyle and beauty blog as well, and I guess, really, it's a post-about-whatever-I-like sort of blog, which, as long as you guys are still enjoying it, suits me just fine :)
I mostly want to say thank you to you guys, I love reading any comments I get, seeing what posts you guys enjoy, and that sort of thing! It's never about the views or followers, because I enjoy it enough to keep going even if no one knew about it at all, but for now, I'm looking forward to another year, and hopefully many more, of blogging!
So like I did at my last blogaversary post, here are the stats after two years of blogging!

You may (or may not) have noticed that a few weeks ago I kind of did a bit of a blog revamp. The reason why was because when I made this blog last year, I actually knew very little about how it all works and the different formats and all that, and in my year of blogging I have learnt so much in terms of formatting, layout, editing and just a whole lot more about this sort of stuff in general! I thoroughly enjoy my blog and in general, even if not a single person read it, it is really something that I like doing :) In redoing bits and bobs on this blog and changing the look slightly, I feel like I have finally got it to look that way I have pretty much wanted it to from the start- obviously there are a few other things (as there always are), but I kind of feel like it now represents me and who I am. The last thing I have been thinking of changing is quite a big one- the name. I read somewhere that you should never change your blog's name, as you may lose followers who no longer recognise it, and that in general, it's not the best of ideas. Buuut, I'm planning on doing it anyway, I think... I may change my mind, but for now I feel like I do want to. I called my blog Fairydust on my Fingertips because I liked the idea of it being a space where I could discuss and chat about the best that life has to offer. Things like travel and beauty and baking and lifestyle- and my thoughts behind the name were that those things are like fairydust in the grasp of my hands- hence, 'on my fingertips'.
Now, even though I do still like the name, I feel like it sounds slightly childish and maybe doesn't represent enough of 'me' in the name, so I think that in the near future, you may get another post with my new blog name- nothing else will change though! I also realise that in changing it- I won't be having detrimental damage on this 'following' because I don't know if there is one, but I don't necessarily think so... and who knows- maybe a name change may be what I need to get more people to read and enjoy my blog... I think that even thought this blog is a hobby for myself, obviously, it is very exciting to be able to share it with other people and see others enjoying the things you write about, or copying a recipe, or even just buying a mascara I recommend, or whatever it is... I have not shared this blog with more than about 3 people I know- I don't know why, seems a bit silly- I do realise- but I kind of feel like it is fairly personal, and so basically I haven't quite got the guts yet to post my posts on facebook or tweet about them or anything because I guess I am just a bit scared of judgement and whatever else sharing this with everyone I know might do... but then again, who knows, maybe I will share it soon? If you are a blogger, I am always looking for new blogs to read, so please, leave me a comment on any post and I would love to check out any of your blogs and follow them! I have also just signed up to this site called Bloglovin which allows you to read blogs on there, so you can sign up and read this one up there, or just read loads of others from around the world. So there is this British band called Bastille that for about the past 6 months I have literally not stopped listening to. I love very song and am just really enjoying them. I was going to post this on my music blog, but I feel like more people view this one and I love them so much that I feel like I want the whole world to share my joy of listening to them. So here it is. They do songs that have quite a few techno type stuff in them, but then they also do the most incredible acoustic covers with just their voices and maybe a guitar or two- and then clap and click and what not, to make it really a beautiful acoustic. I love them, and I think they are very easy listening and easy to sing along to. Like I said, I love every song, but here are some of my favourites.
'Bad Blood'. It took me some time to get into this song but now I listen to it on repeat all the time.
This one is called 'These Streets'.
This song (below) 'Flaws' has been done so differently, so here are some different versions, I still can't decide which one I like the best.
The acoustic version.
Also a beautiful version, with mainly string instruments.
You must excuse the absolutely weird video, I make no effort to understand it. But this is the original version, and is also very nice.
'Things We Lost In The Fire' is another favourite.
'The Weight of Living- Part 1', too beautiful.
And of course, one that maybe you have heard because it has become very popular: 'Pompeii".
(also a very weird music video)
Just a side thought, I think that this guy, Matthias Harris does a really decent cover of this song all by himself, so take a listen.
Enjoy the music, the main singer just has the most amazing voice!
